ScapeCon was founded in 2021 by Mike and George, who combined their extensive competitive HeroScape experience at GenCon with the communal atmosphere and single-site experience of Dice Tower Con (now Dice Tower East).

ScapeCon I had 38 attendees for 5 days of HeroScape. Each year has seen significant player retention and sizable growth. ScapeCon IV sold out with 74 unique attendees over 5 days. ScapeCon V is projected to sell out.

ScapeCon East began in 2023 as a smaller, more affordable spinoff serving the collective New England, Mid-Atlantic, and Carolina regions. ScapeCon East I had 28 attendees and ScapeCon East II is currently projected to have 33 attendees.
